General Terms and Conditions – Wedding Officiant Noor

As soon as I receive confirmation that I may officiate your wedding, I will issue the invoice. The deposit invoice amounts to 20% of the total fee. If a request for a Personal Registrar (Eigen Babs) needs to be made with the municipality, these costs will be added, along with any additional expenses such as parking fees, an extra rehearsal afternoon, or travel costs for distances of 40 km or more.

The final invoice will be sent to you four weeks prior to the wedding date.

The general terms and conditions will be included with the invoice.

General Terms and Conditions – Wedding Officiant Noor

Article 1: Definitions and Applicability
1.1 These general terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to every agreement (“Agreement”) between Wedding Officiant Noor and the client (“Client”) for officiating weddings and conducting ceremonies, including all offers and arrangements, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties (“Parties”).
1.2 The applicability of any terms and conditions of the Client is explicitly rejected. In case of inconsistencies, the terms of Wedding Officiant Noor shall prevail.
1.3 Articles 7:404, 7:407 paragraph 2, and 7:409 of the Dutch Civil Code are excluded.
1.4 If any provision of these Terms is invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
1.5 Written communication also includes electronic communication such as email, provided the sender’s identity and authenticity are sufficiently established.

Article 2: Offers and Agreements
2.1 Offers provided by Wedding Officiant Noor are non-binding and serve as informative price indications via email. An Agreement is only concluded after written acceptance by the Client and confirmation of the deposit.
2.2 Offers are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. After this period, prices and terms may be adjusted.
2.3 By entering into the Agreement, the Client automatically agrees to the general terms and conditions as published on the website of Wedding Officiant Noor.
2.4 Wedding Officiant Noor reserves the right to refuse assignments without stating reasons, provided no Agreement has yet been established.
2.5 Changes to the Agreement must be agreed upon in writing by both Parties.
2.6 In case of bankruptcy, suspension of payments, debt restructuring, or other similar situations of the Client, Wedding Officiant Noor may terminate the Agreement without judicial intervention.

Article 3: Services and Execution
3.1 Wedding Officiant Noor will perform the ceremony to the best of their knowledge and ability according to the Client’s wishes as set out in the Agreement.
3.2 The content, schedule, and location of the ceremony will be determined in consultation with the Client during the intake meeting. In case of necessary changes, Wedding Officiant Noor will inform the Client promptly.
3.3 Informal documents, such as reconfirmations or ceremonial certificates, do not confer any legal rights.

Article 4: Client Obligations
4.1 The Client shall provide all information regarding the wishes and particulars of the ceremony in a timely manner, as well as contact details of a primary contact person for the ceremonial day.
4.2 The Client is responsible for all necessary preparations and permits for the ceremony and bears the associated costs.
4.3 Wedding Officiant Noor is not liable for delays, costs, or complications arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the Client.

Article 5: Prices and Payment
5.1 Prices are quoted in euros, excluding VAT and any additional costs such as travel expenses, municipal fees, and material costs, unless otherwise stated.
5.2 A deposit of 30% of the total fee is required to confirm the ceremony date.
5.3 The second invoice, which must be paid no later than four weeks before the ceremony, will include the remaining balance and any additional costs.
5.4 The payable amount will be sent via electronic invoice unless otherwise agreed.
5.5 In case of late payment, Wedding Officiant Noor reserves the right to suspend obligations or terminate the Agreement without refunding the deposit.
5.6 All payments must be made within 14 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.

Article 6: Cancellation and Changes
6.1 Cancellation by the Client must be made in writing.
6.2 The cancellation terms apply from the moment the Client confirms the assignment in writing, regardless of whether the deposit has been paid.
6.3 The following conditions apply in the event of cancellation:

  • Up to 60 days before the ceremony: 50% of the total fee is payable.
  • Within 60 days before the ceremony: 100% of the total fee is payable.
    6.4 Changes to the date, time, or location of the ceremony must be communicated in writing at least 90 days in advance and are subject to availability.
    6.5 In case of cancellation due to severe illness or compelling personal hardship, cost-free cancellation can be discussed.

Article 7: Liability
7.1 Wedding Officiant Noor shall conduct the ceremony and speech with the utmost care and professionalism. Liability applies only to direct damage resulting from intent or gross negligence.
7.2 Liability for indirect damages, such as consequential loss, lost income, or disappointments, is excluded.
7.3 Liability is limited to the invoice amount of the relevant ceremony unless intent or gross negligence is involved.
7.4 Wedding Officiant Noor is not responsible for circumstances beyond her control that may affect the ceremony, such as noise disturbance, weather conditions, or external factors.

Article 8: Force Majeure
8.1 In exceptional cases where Wedding Officiant Noor cannot officiate the ceremony due to force majeure, a substitute officiant will be arranged.
8.2 The speech will be fully written out and, if necessary, handed over to the substitute.

Article 9: Intellectual Property
9.1 All texts, speeches, ideas, and concepts remain the property of Wedding Officiant Noor.
9.2 The Client is not permitted to reproduce, edit, or transfer these materials to third parties without prior consent.

Article 10: Governing Law and Disputes
10.1 This Agreement is governed exclusively by Dutch law.
10.2 Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
